Cancellations | Late Arrivals | Termination of Services | Refund Policy
General Information:

Please note that unless specifically stated otherwise below, all services are non-refundable.

You must pay in advance for all services. You will not be allowed to schedule a session without paying in advance.

You are responsible for scheduling your sessions. The Art of Scholarships (“TAS”) may, but is not required, to send you a (24) hour SMS or email alert reminding you of your upcoming session.

Although The Art of Scholarships was founded by India Prather, who is an attorney, please note India Prather and her college counselors/agents/employees/independent contractors will not offer legal advice and/or will not provide legal services under The Art of Scholarships brand/logo. TAS is a non-legal business that offers non-legal services.
No Guarantee Policy:
Although TAS’ college counselors will provide resources to its students and will work very closely with its students to help them increase their chances at getting into their desired colleges/universities and help them submit quality, competitive scholarship applications, please note the following:

TAS does not guarantee college/university admission.

TAS does not guarantee that a student will “win” scholarships.

TAS does not guarantee that a student will increase his/her SAT/ACT scores or obtain desired results.

TAS does not guarantee that a student will gain admission/acceptance into academic and/or leadership conferences, extracurricular activities, volunteer activities, part-time jobs, and any other process/position that requires the student to tryout or apply too.

TAS will NOT write a student’s scholarship, college, and/or school-related essays. TAS will only review student essays for grammar, and provide comments relating to the essay’s style/content. At any given time, the student is free to accept or reject TAS’ comments/revisions.
Cancellation of a Session:

We understand that life can throw curve balls and situations/events will arise/occur at the last minute. To avoid a cancellation fee, you must cancel your appointment at least (24) hours in advance notice.

If you fail to cancel your appointment within the 24-hour window, the card on file will be charged a $10.00 cancellation fee. You will be permitted to reschedule the session at a later time.

If TAS cancels a session due to its own reasoning, you will not be charged a cancellation fee. You will be permitted to reschedule the session at a later time.
Late Arrival to a Session:

If you are running (5) to (15) minutes late to your online session, please provide in advance a written notice of said late arrival. Your session will not be extended to make up for the lost time.

If you do not arrive within the first (15) minutes of your appointment, your session will be cancelled and the card on file will be charged a $10.00 cancellation fee. You will be permitted to reschedule the session at a later time.

If TAS is late to a session, you will be allowed to add the lost time onto the end of that session or add it to a future session.
Termination of Services (How to Terminate Services with TAS):

TAS reserves the right to terminate its services for any client without any prior written notice.

If the student and/or parent wishes to cancel its services or a college counseling plan with TAS, the student and/or parent (if student is 17 or younger) must provide a (2) week written notice of his/her intent to cancel his/her semester- or entire-school-year-long plan.
Refund Policy:

Refunds are permitted only for 30-minute or 1-hour services that have been fully paid for in advance but not used.

There is no refund for the Scholarship Squad. If you cancel, you will not be charged in the future.

There is no refund for the purchase of any courses from The Art of Scholarships because once purchased, we do not have a way to restrict your access.

There is no refund for the Scholarship Academy because once purchased, we do not have a way to restrict your access. As such, if you are on a payment plan, you will still be required to pay for the full service.
